Bears of the Smokies

Come along with biologist, musician, and songwriter Dr. Jay Clark for a fun-filled day exploring the life cycle and habits of our southern Appalachian black bear. A moderate hike into prime bear habitat includes discussions on bear biology, research, and management of this incredible landscape species. You'll discover their secrets of survival, what they eat, when cubs are born, and much, much more as we go in search of tracks, scat, and tree markings.
